1976 Cadillac Mirage

In 1975 and 1976 Traditional Coach Works, located in Chatsworth, Calif., took the standard Cadillac Coupe de Ville and made a custom bodied pick up. This was not a flower car. It was a made-to-be-used pickup. A very upscale El Camino.

The floor bed could carry four-foot-by eight-foot sheets of plywood flat with the tailgate closed and the driver and passenger in absolute comfort. There was a metal panel at the end of the floor bed that covered a “hidden storage area,” where small articles of value could be stowed out of view. The spare tire was also located here. The metal cover had a lock, just as a trunk would have.
