No one can say Steve Piispanen doesn’t go to bat for his customers.
Piispanen, owner of the nearly century-old Keene Auto Body shop in Keene, N.H., appeared before the state’s Supreme Court late last year to appeal a Circuit Court decision to dismiss a $1,100 customer claim against State Farm. With no legal assistance or law training, Piispanen, who accepted assignment of his customer’s claim, filed his own brief to the court and delivered what was apparently a convincing oral argument.
