1977 Lincoln Mark V Convertible

For 1977 the Lincoln Mark V received a new body design from the previous Mark IV, which was more rounded. The Mark V was more angular, squared off and rakish in design. It was a big car, the longest Mark series ever made at a time when big, over-the-top American cruisers were on the wane due to the gas crisis of 1973, government regulations on car safety and fuel economy, and the public’s leaning towards smaller, fuel-efficient automobiles. The entire General Motors line of cars was “downsized” in 1977. Even Cadillac was downsized!…
