For nearly a decade, Mike Anderson of Collision Advice has been conducting quarterly “Who Pays for What?” surveys. He can summarize the overall lesson that can be drawn from those nearly 40 surveys in one sentence.
“There’s not a single of the nearly 100 not-included labor procedures or estimate line items we ask about in the surveys for which some shops are billing and being paid, yet there’s some percentage of shops that have never sought to be paid for them or are convinced the largest insurers won’t pay for them,” Anderson said.
