A 2023 survey of collision repair technicians commissioned by I-CAR and the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) offered some pretty bleak findings related to pay and benefits in the industry. Among more than 800 responding technicians, more than a third of those with 20 years or more experience were earning over $100,000 a year. But among those starting in their career, with less than five years of experience, about 15 percent were earning less than $30,000. …
