Honest Wrenches

For Travis Troy and Josh Mullins, honesty is always the best policy; it’s a core value in their approach to business. However, when it came to branding their Des Moines, Iowa, repair shop, Troy acknowledged that they didn’t initially intend on making such a bold statement with their name, Honest Wrenches. 

“That was more on accident,” Troy admitted. “The initial name was more like T&J Automotive. [But] we wanted to come up with something that was unique and expandable. So we began talking about why we were doing this, how we wanted to be straightforward and honest with people. We were coming up with names like Honest Automotive, Honest Cars…but I had a wrench in my hand, and I looked at Josh; ‘What about Honest Wrenches?…”
