This is a story as much about one man’s journey in the collision business as it is about his business.

Rob Tignor of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., is the very definition of a local businessman. He was born in Mt. Juliet, graduated from Mt. Juliet High School, has only lived in Mt. Julilet, and is active in the community. When he decided to open his business after 16 years learning his trade in the Nashville area, Tignor came home. Hence the name, Hometown Collision.

Now for the history. After high school, Tignor was hired by Colson’s Body Shop in Nashville where he pushed a broom and “packed the dumpster,” a technique he didn’t fully appreciate until he owned his own business. While at Colson’s, he learned the trade and moved into a management position.
