Collision shops see some state insurance regulators taking closer look at claims practices

Some shops have given up on trying to get their state’s insurance commissioner to pull in the reigns on what the shops view as unfair, unreasonable, or anti-consumer — if not actually illegal — claims practices by some insurers. But if the past year is any indication, there may have been a shift — at least in some states — with insurance regulators taking a more vocal position in challenging what some insurers are doing. …
