As of this writing, Techway Automotive is a little over 14 years old, but its growth since opening has been—to put it mildly—explosive. This Dothan, Ala., business started in a 5,000-square-foot facility, but after only about four years moved into a 33,000-square-foot building.
Now take a moment to picture that amount of space in your head. Can’t quite get it? Here are some factoids that should help: according to owner Brian Ordway, this shop is larger than most of the area’s dealerships, complete with 35 bays, some big enough to work on RVs. Because their specialty is working on larger vehicles, Techway’s first facility was simply inadequate.
