INDIANAPOLIS, IN—If Ray Harroun could only see Inday now. In 1911, Harroun raced his car — aptly named Wasp — to a victorious finish in the first Indy 500 with a top speed of 75 miles per hour. Fans and enthusiast around the world marbled. He later retired from racing to become a Chrysler engine.

In 1991, a Dodge Viper prototype from the company Harroun retired to will pace the 75th running of the Indy 500 and it will easily reach his top speed…in second gear!

But Viper won’t be the only Dodge…
