COLMAR, Pa. (AP) _ Dorman Products Inc. (DORM) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $34.3 million.
The Colmar, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of $1.06 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.14 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 79 cents per share.
The distributor of parts to automotive retailers posted revenue of $300.6 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $267.3 million.
Dorman Products shares have increased 14% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $85.98, a climb of 17% in the last 12 months.
