SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (ORLY) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $576.8 million.
On a per-share basis, the Springfield, Missouri-based company said it had profit of $8.78.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $8.98 per share.
The auto parts retailer posted revenue of $3.67 billion in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $3.7 billion.
O’Reilly Automotive expects full-year earnings to be $31.25 to $31.75 per share, with revenue in the range of $14 billion to $14.3 billion.
